Cinema General Terms and Conditions
General Commercial Terms of Cinema City Slovakia s. r. o.
(hereinafter as the „GCT“)
Article 1
Opening provisions
- These GCT are applicable when purchasing goods or services from Cinema City Slovakia s. r. o., with the registered office: Einsteinova 20, 851 01 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, Identification No.: 44 066 490, registered with the Companies Register of the District Court Bratislava I, Section: Sro, insert: 51391/B (hereinafter as the “Cinema City”) within all its operations.
- The operations of Cinema City are the following multiplexes belonging to Cinema City network:
- Cinema City Aupark, Einsteinova 20, 851 01 Bratislava, Slovak Republic;
- Cinema City Eurovea, Pribinova 8, 811 09 Bratislava, Slovak Republic;
- Cinema City VIVO!, Vajnorská 100, 831 04 Bratislava, Slovak Republic
(hereinafter as the “Multiplex”).
- GCT include the following documents of Cinema City, valid in all Multiplexes:

- Visitors’ Rules of 4DX Screening Room
- Return policy of Cinema City multiplexes.

Article 2
Definitions of terms
- For avoidance of doubt we are stating, that every shortcut used herein applies equally within the whole text of GCT.
- For the purposes of GCT shall mean:

- “4DX Effects” the overview of 4DX effects;

- “4DX Visitors’ Rules” the visitors’ rules of 4DX screening room;
-
- “Compensation” the compensation awarder in the form of free ticket and/or the financial compensation in the form of the repayment of purchase price either of the ticket or the goods and Glasses as stated in the Return Policy;

- “Customer” the person that purchased Ticket or E-Ticker for the Cinema City screening;
-
- “E-Ticket” the ticket purchased via the internet website www.cinemacity.sk with unique numerical code and barcode, printed by the Customer or the ticket in a JPG form with unique numerical code and barcode submitted by the Customer to the presenter prior entering the Multiplex by means of portable electronic device (i.e. mobile phone, tablet, etc.) or ticket printed at the cash desk of the Multiplex, where the relevant screening shall take place, based on the unique number (transaction number);

- “General Terms” the general terms of Cinema City for on-line purchase of tickets (i.e. E-Tickets);

- “Glasses” the glasses necessary for the 3D Projection in the Multiplex;

- “Operation Rules” the operation rules of Cinema City;

- “Projection” any Cinema City motion picture screening (2D, 3D, 4DX) as well as all 4DX Effects;

- “Responsible employee of the Multiplex” Multiplex manager;
-
- “Return Policy” the return policy of Cinema City;
-
- “Supervisory authority” the Slovak Trade Inspection with the registered office: Prievozská 32, 827 99 Bratislava 27, Slovak Republic (www.soi.sk);

- “Ticket” the ticket purchased and, at the same time, printed at any cash desk of Multiplexes;
Article 3
Validity of GCT
- These GCT are valid for the Customer in the wording available at the cash desks of Multiplex on the day of purchasing the Ticket, and if appropriate in the wording available at the internet websites of Cinema City on the day of purchasing the E-Ticket by the Customer.
- The Customer, by purchasing the Ticket and purchasing the E-Ticket or by using the free (admission free) ticket, confirms that he/she is thoroughly familiar with the GCT, as well as with all the documents, which are forming its part, pursuant the Article 1, para. 3. of GCT, he/she understands it, agree with it and undertake to follow it.
- Cinema City reserves the right to alter the GCT, alternatively their part, within the statutory scope. Any alteration of GCT shall enter into force on the day laid down in its updated version.
- In case of any complaints, remarks and suggestions, the Customer is entitled to address these to the manager of the Multiplex. Any incentives, complaints and objections can also be sent via e-mail to [email protected].
We thank our Customers in advance for the collaboration and for abiding to the GCT and we wish you a pleasant movie experiences.
Article 1
Introductory provisions
- These General Terms are applicable when purchasing E-Tickets for movie and other screenings operated by Cinema City. The General Terms closely define and specify the rights and obligations of Cinema City and Customer.
- In case of questions/If necessary, the Customer is entitled to contact Cinema City via e-mail at info@cinemacity.sk or by phone at 00421 (2) 6820 2222.
Article 2
Way of Purchasing of E-Ticket
- The Customer can purchase the E-Ticket for the particular screening via the internet website www.cinemacity.sk and pay its purchase price and the unrefundable handling fee, alternatively other unrefundable fee, for the use of the possibility of on-line purchase in accordance to the created order, through the payment system PayPal, Masterpass or by using the Visa/Mastercard payment card.
- It is possible to purchase the following E-Tickets by using the internet website www.cinemacity.sk: Adult, Children (till the age of 12 years), Student (from 13 till 26 years), Senior, Adult 4DX, Children 4DX (till the age of 12 years), Student 4DX (from 13 till 26 years), Senior 4DX, Adult Superscreen, Children Superscreen (till the age of 12 years), Students Superscreen (from 13 till 26 years), Senior Superscreen, Cheap Mondays, Ladies Movie Night, and all these for the screening in the Multiplex in 2D and 3D form (with or without purchasing Glasses).
- It is possible to purchase the E-Ticket at any time prior the time of requested screening laid down in the program of the Multiplexes, however within the time settled in the program of particular Multiplex, at the internet website www.cinemacity.sk, at the latest. Later, it is possible for Customer only to purchase the Tickets for the available seats at the cash desk of the Multiplex.
- When purchasing the E-Ticket, an unrefundable fee in the amount of EUR 0.70 incl. VAT per E-Ticket will be charged as a handling fee for the use of the possibility of on-line purchase of E-Ticket to the Multiplex.
- After selecting and marking the E-Ticket for the particular screening and selection of seat within the step “Ticket selection”, the Customer moves on the step “Order”, where he/she shall fill in the electronic form and enter all requested information. Within the step “Order” the final purchase price of E-Ticket and all additional payments of Cinema City, which shall be paid by the Customer after the confirmation, is displayed to the Customer. The displayed purchase price is the actual price for the ordered E-Tickets and related fees for the use of the possibility of on-line purchase and it is also the final price, i.e. including VAT and potential discounts. Within the step “Order” the Customer also gives its consent with the payment of unrefundable handling fee for the use of the possibility of on-line purchase, and this by checking the relevant box.
- Afterwards, the Customer shall choose the way of delivery of E-Ticket. The Customer may choose the form “E-Ticket (sent by email)”; E-Ticket will be sent in the JPG form through the confirmation e-mail and the Customer may consequently print out the E-Ticket or save it into the portable electronic device (e.g. mobile phone, tablet, etc.) or the form “Collect in cinema”; the E-Ticket will be collected at the cash desk of the Multiplex based on the unique number (transaction number) that is sent to the Customer in the confirmation e-mail. In case of choosing the form “Collect in cinema”, the E-Ticket purchased in this way is available at the cash desk of the Multiplex, where the ordered Projection shall take place.
In case the Customer does not choose the way of delivery of E–Ticket, the delivery in the form “E-Ticket (sent by e-mail)” will be selected automatically.
- After the confirmation of E-Ticket order, the Customer is transferred to the secured payment gateway, through which the payment is made. It is necessary to perform the payment within the set time limit, the countdown begins at moment of the initiation of the ordering process; it is possible to check the time limit at any time in the main window of the ordering system. After the lapse of set time limit the unfinished order will not be realized.
- After completing the payment through the secured payment gate, the Customer will be again transferred to the internet website www.cinemacity.sk.
- After paying the E-Ticket´s purchase price and successful completion of the order, the confirmation e-mail will be sent to the Customer to the entered e-mail address. Confirmation e-mail consists of:
- in case of selecting the “Collect in cinema” way of delivery, the unique number (number of transaction). By presenting this unique number at the cash desk of Multiplex, in which the ordered Projection shall take place, the E-Ticket will be given to the Customer. Neither the actual confirmation e-mail nor the confirmation of payment serves as the E-Ticket.
- in case of selecting the “E-Ticket (sent by e-mail)” way of delivery, the unique number of realized and paid reservation (number of transaction) and valid E-Ticket (E-Tickets) authorizing the entry to the screening room (serves as the Ticket).
- For the tax purposes, the following servers as the tax invoice:
- in case of selecting the “Collect in cinema” way of delivery, the E-Ticket that will be given to the Customer at the cash desk after presenting the unique number (number of transaction).
- in case of selecting the “E-Ticket (sent by email)” way of delivery, actual E-Ticket.
- The payment is realized only in case the Customer receives the payment confirmation via the message sent to the e-mail address entered in the order of the E-Ticket.
- The numerical code and barcode on the E-Ticket is valid only once, i.e. after any further submission of E-Ticket with the unique numerical code and barcode, this E-Ticket will not be accepted and the entry into the screening room will not be allowed, regardless of whoever submits the E-Ticket. In case of damage of the barcode of E-Ticket, the E-Ticket shall be verified by unique numerical code of E-Ticket.
- The unique numerical code (number of transaction) of the paid reservation may be used only once for collecting the E-Ticket, for the selected screening. The claim for getting the E-Ticket does not arise automatically, regardless of who submits the unique numerical code (number of transaction); the Customer shall therefore protect the unique numerical code (number of transaction) from being stolen or used by other person.
- The Customer is obligated, if claiming the entitlement for discounted entry, to prove his/her entitlement for the discounted E-Ticket prior entering the screening room by submitting the valid document entitling the holder to a discount. If the Customer fails to prove the entitlement to the discounted E-Ticket, the E-Ticket will be deemed invalid and the entry into the screening room will not be allowed. For the purposes of these General Terms, the discounted entry shall mean the entry pursuant the valid price list.
- Up to 10 E-Tickets at the most shall be purchased by one transaction/order.
Article 3
E-Ticket Cancellation
- The sale of Tickets to the movie and other screenings is considered to be the agreement related to the provision of services linked to the activities within the free time and due to this fact the Customer cannot cancel the agreement pursuant the Act No. 102/2014 Coll. on the protection of consumers as amended in the case of distance sale of goods or provision of services based on the distance contract or agreement concluded outside the premises of the seller and on amending and repealing some acts as amended. Irrespective of abovementioned, the Customer may request Cinema City to cancel the E-Ticket upon the fulfilment of the conditions set herein.
- It is possible to request the cancellation of the E-Ticket pursuant Article 2 para. 5. of the Return Policy. The request to cancel E-Ticket will be reviewed by the Responsible employee of the Multiplex pursuant the valid Return Policy.
- The right to E-Ticket cancellation may be applied only to the transaction as such, i.e. to the all E-Tickets purchased through the one transaction/order.
- The money for the E-Tickets will be returned exclusively by credit transfer (cashless).
- In case the Customer submits the request to cancel the relevant E-Ticket after the lapse of the periods pursuant the Return Policy, the request will be declined on the basis of late application.
- The unique number of the realized and paid reservation (number of transaction) and applied payment method shall be identified within the request to cancel the E-Ticket.
- In case the sum of money in the amount of the E-Ticket purchase price was debited from the Customer´s bank account, but the E-Ticket was not displayed to him/her, and E-Ticket was not delivered to the entered e-mail, the Customer shall file a complaint to return the money, due to non-provision of services, at the bank which issued the payment card through which the transaction was realized or at the company PayPal, in case the transaction was made through the PayPal account.
Article 4
Complains
- Cinema City is being held responsible for the faults of the provided services, alternatively sold goods, pursuant the relevant legal acts, mainly the provision § 420 et seq. of the Act No. 40/1964 Coll. Civil Code as amended. Complaints against E-Tickets, as well as the provided services, i.e. the screening to which the E-Ticket was bought, may be made only pursuant the conditions laid down in the Return Policy.
Article 5
Gift vouchers
1. The Operator provides gift vouchers and other promotional vouchers, for example Halloween Night Voucher (hereinafter “Vouchers”) only for Tickets to Cinemas operated by the Operator.
2. Vouchers with a nominal value corresponding to the basic adult tariff on the Operator’s price list may be bought at the Cinema’s Ticket office. Up to 50 may be bought, dependent upon how many are currently available in the Cinema. Vouchers for special quantity discounts may only be bought at the Operator’s central Ticket office which can be emailed or phoned on +420 255 742 021.
3. The validity of the Voucher is subject to the terms and conditions listed thereon. These terms and conditions are binding, particularly limitations regarding date, type of projection (2D, 3D, 4DX, SUPERSCREEN), the Cinema and the days in the week. The date of validity on the Voucher is the last day upon which the Voucher may be used. The Customer cannot use the Voucher for a Performance after the date of validity which the Voucher contains. There is no option to lengthen the date of validity.
4. The Customer can request a current Voucher price list from the e-mail address [email protected] or find the current Voucher price list on the website.
5. Purchase of the Voucher is binding for the Customer. A Voucher, once sold, cannot be returned by the Customer and refunded and its period of validity or Voucher type cannot be changed.
Article 6
Closing provisions
- When purchasing the E-Ticket, the Customer gives its exclusive consent with the text of all provisions of General Terms (as part of GCT) and is irrevocably bound by them (as well as by GCT). The consent with the General Terms and the confirmation that the Customer acquainted himself/herself with the General Terms is expressed by crossing the relevant checkbox within the first step of the E-Ticket order, while selecting transaction.
We would like to inform our customers or their entourage that by purchasing tickets or entering the premises of the Cinema City Multicinema, they undertake to respect these internal regulations of the Cinema City Slovakia company. r. o., with registered office at Einsteinova 20, 851 01 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, IČO: 44 066 490, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Bratislava I, section: Sro, insert number: 51391/B (hereinafter referred to as "Cinema City") (hereinafter only "Operation Rules"). The operation rules are valid in all multiplex cinemas operated by Cinema City, specified in Art. 1 of the Operation Rules (hereinafter referred to as "Multicinema") and defines and specifies in particular the rights and obligations of customers as contractual parties.
Cinema City operates in the following establishments:
1. Cinema City operates its activities in the following establishments:
- Cinema City Aupark, at: Aupark Shopping Center, Einsteinova 20, 851 01 Bratislava-Petržalka;
- Cinema City Eurovea, at: GALLERIA EUROVEA, Pribinova 8, 811 09 Bratislava-Ružinov;
- Cinema City VIVO, at: Shopping Center VIVO! Bratislava, Vajnorská 100, 831 04 Nové Mesto, Slovakia.
2. The operation rules are published on the Cinema City website www.cinemacity.sk, and further placed at the entrance to the Multicinema premises, where customers can familiarize themselves with them.
3. The customer's visit to any show operated by Cinema City in any of its Multicinema on the territory of the Slovak Republic is governed by the internal rules. Visiting the performance in the 4DX hall is then governed by the special Visiting Regulations of the 4DX hall, which is located at the Cinema City Aupark box office, or on the website https://www.cinemacity.sk in the 4DX section, subsection "More about 4DX" (https:// www.cinemacity.sk/4dx-rules)
Rights and Obligations of the Customers
4. The customer is obliged to familiarize himself with these Operation Rules in their entirety before purchasing a ticket for the performance or upon entering the Multicinema premises. By purchasing a ticket or entering the premises of Multikino, the customer confirms that he has thoroughly familiarized himself with the Operation Rules, understands them, agrees with them and undertakes to comply with them.
5. Entry to the paid area of the Multicinema is possible only with a valid, unused ticket, regardless of age (the obligation to purchase a ticket also applies to children under 3 years of age). Paid Multicinema area means the area located behind the Multicinema control point, where tickets are checked. The customer is obliged to have the ticket with him for the entire time during which he stays in the paid area of Multicinema. Whenever leaving and re-entering the cinema hall, the customer is obliged to show his valid ticket at the request of the Cinema City staff. When leaving the paid premises of the Multicinema, the ticket becomes invalid. In the event that the customer does not present a valid ticket to the staff of Cinema City, the right arises not to allow the customer into the paid area of Multicinema. In such a case, the customer is not entitled to compensation.
6. The customer is obliged to check all the data on the ticket immediately after purchasing the ticket at the ticket office and make sure that they correspond to the order; he is obliged to complain about possible errors immediately (but no later than 15 minutes) after providing the erroneous admission; Cinema City will not take into account errors discovered later. Cinema City does not provide customers with the option of returning already purchased tickets (including e-tickets and tickets from self-service machines) without giving a reason. Tickets can only be claimed in the cases specified in Cinema City's claim procedure. At the same time, Cinema City's complaints procedure sets out the conditions for complaints about goods purchased at the counters with refreshments in Multicinema and glasses intended for 3D performances. The customer is also obliged immediately after purchasing the ticket, or of goods at the refreshment counters or other goods/services in Multicinema, to check the returned cash and, when paying by payment card, the correctness of the amount withdrawn based on the control confirmation from the payment card terminal; Cinema City staff will not consider later complaints.
7. It is possible to request the cancellation of an e-ticket by e-mail, by e-mail to [email protected], daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (always no later than 3 hours before the start of the show), or in person at the office the manager of the Multicinema during the opening hours of the Multicinema (no later than 15 minutes before the start of the performance). It is possible to complain about the service provided, i.e. the performance for which the e-ticket was purchased, only under the conditions set by Cinema City's complaint procedure.
8. The customer is obliged to present a valid document entitling the holder to the discount when purchasing tickets, as long as he/she is claiming a discounted entrance fee. The staff of Cinema City is entitled to re-check the ticket as well as the document entitling the ticket holder to a discount when entering the paid area of Multikino and at any time during their stay. In the case of purchasing tickets via the Internet (e-tickets) or via a self-service machine, the customer, as long as he/she is claiming a reduced entrance fee, is required to present a valid document entitling the holder to the discount when entering the paid area of the Multicinema and at any time upon request by the Cinema City staff during stay in it (where it is appropriate later in these Internal Rules, a ticket also means an e-ticket and a ticket from a self-service machine).
9. The ticket is valid only for the show that is marked on the ticket. It is forbidden to pass from one cinema to another without a valid ticket for the show in the given cinema.
10. Discounted admission is understood as admission at a price lower than the standard price for an adult for individual shows and specific film projection formats (e.g. 4DX, Superscreen), i.e. especially child, student and senior admission, while Cinema City reserves the right to change the validity of the discounts. An overview of admission prices, including discounted admission, can be found in the Cinema City price list available in the Multicinema premises as well as on the website http://www.cinemacity.sk.
11. Cinema City does not recommend attending film screenings for children under 3 years of age. The visit of children under 3 years of age is allowed only when accompanied and under the constant control of the customer - an adult and fully independent person. Cinema City staff is entitled to demand proof of the customer's age in relation to the age restrictions for access to individual shows. Cinema City is entitled to prevent the entry of persons who do not meet the specified age limit for the accessibility of individual films. In the case of films accessible from the age of 18, visiting younger persons is not possible even with the consent of a legal representative or accompanied by an adult. In the case of films accessible from the age of 15, a person under the age of 15 can only be visited on the condition that they have reached the age of at least 12 and their legal representative has given consent to the visit. In the case of disturbing the course of the performance and other viewers in the cinema hall, the legal representative or another adult accompanying the child will be asked to leave the paid Multicinema area together with the child. In such a case, the customer is not entitled to compensation.
12. If, upon request, the customer does not demonstrate entitlement to a discounted ticket when entering the paid area of Multicinema or does not present a certificate confirming the fulfillment of the age limit, the ticket will be considered invalid and the customer will not be allowed to enter the premises; in that case, the customer is not entitled to any compensation. For the purposes of the Operation Rules, compensation means compensation provided in accordance with Cinema City's complaints procedure in the form of a free ticket and/or financial compensation in the form of a refund of the purchase price, whether of a ticket or of goods and glasses intended for 3D performances.
13. Cinema City bears no responsibility for the content of the films, advertisements and trailers shown. Each customer is obliged to consider in advance whether he or a child accompanied by him can be harmed by visiting the selected performance, especially then the customer is obliged to consider whether it is suitable for a person younger than 12/15 years to visit a cinematographic performance marked as unsuitable for children under 12/15 years of age. In addition to performances for children, film screenings may contain indecent, violent, offensive or otherwise problematic scenes. The shows can also be very loud in some sections. Intense audio or visual passages can come surprisingly and suddenly.
14. ZTP (ZTP means severe health disability, later mentioned as "ZTP") card holders can apply for a discounted senior entrance fee. Under the conditions stated below, a person with a ZTP-S card is entitled to a free ticket for their companion in addition to the purchased ticket. A person with a ZTP-S license and the person who accompanies them will be placed on seats next to each other; in the case of a person in a wheelchair, the accompanying person will be placed on the seat closest to the wheelchair station. For safety reasons, the wheelchair driver is obliged to watch the performance exclusively from the wheelchair station. Only an adult, properly qualified person, fully capable of continuously providing the necessary assistance can be an escort (Personal assistance cannot be performed by a natural person who is dependent on the help of another natural person in the activities that they are supposed to perform as a personal assistant). She is obliged to provide this with a high degree of prudence throughout the entire time of the accompanied person's presence in the Multikino and to comply with all the instructions of the Cinema City staff. The guide is obliged to pay attention to the accompanied person even during the performance.
15. Cinema City is not responsible for misuse of the ticket by a third party, and the staff of Multicinema does not check the method of acquisition of the presented valid ticket or e-ticket; the customer is obliged to protect the ticket against theft or use by another person.
16. The customer is obliged to arrive at the beginning of the show on time so as not to disturb other customers. In case of late arrival, Cinema City employees are entitled to seat the customer in another seat in the multiplex so that other customers are not disturbed. With the exception of the provisions of Article 19 of the Internal Rules, the customer is always obliged to occupy exclusively the place indicated on the ticket in the auditorium. In the event that it is not possible to take a seat in such a place for any reason, the customer will immediately contact one of the Cinema City employees and follow their instructions.
17. The customer is obliged to follow the meeting schedule determined by the information on the ticket. In the event that the meeting schedule cannot be observed for any reason, the customer informs Cinema City staff about this and follows their instructions. If the visitor is seated by an employee of the Operator in a place other than the one indicated on the ticket, he is not entitled to a discount or a refund of the entrance fee. For security reasons, it is not possible to occupy any other places or places and spaces that are not intended for sitting.
18. The customer must not disturb other customers during the performance beyond the usual level for the given nature of the performance and the audience.
19. During any movement in the Multicinema movie pemises, the customer is obliged to exercise extreme caution, especially during the show and before its end, especially due to the reduced (safety) lighting in the movie theater, the terrace-like arrangement of seating and stairs in the movie premises. The customer is also obliged to maintain order and peace, so as not to disturb other customers of Multicinema. Leaving the cinema hall during dimmed lighting (i.e. before the lights in the cinema hall are fully switched on) before the end of the show is possible only at your own risk and responsibility.
20. In the event that Multicinema implements a discount on parking cards, the customer is obliged to present the parking card to the staff of Cinema City for bonus without being prompted. Cinema City bears no responsibility for the costs incurred by the customer as a result of the loss of the parking card, its invalidity or the failure to make a bonus.
21. In all Multicinema premises, it is forbidden to consume any food and drinks purchased outside the Multicinema premises, as well as to enter the Multicinema premises with them. It is forbidden to bring any hot food into the Multicinema premises. It is forbidden to smoke or consume addictive and other narcotic and psychotropic substances. It is forbidden to enter the premises of any Multikino under the influence of alcohol or other narcotic and psychotropic substances. It is forbidden to use electronic cigarettes and similar devices in Multicinema, or any things or substances that would disturb other visitors more than usual when visiting cinematographic shows. In case of doubt, customers are obliged to follow the instructions of Cinema City employees. In case of violation of this prohibition, the staff of Cinema City has the right to ask the customer to immediately refrain from the prohibited action and, in case of disobedience, to leave the Multikino, in necessary cases with the assistance of the security service/members of the police force. In such a case, the customer is not entitled to compensation.
22. Access to the Multicinema premises will not be allowed to persons inappropriately dressed (e.g. in swimsuits, underwear, dirty clothes, etc.), persons with their faces covered (in a way that makes it impossible or difficult to assess the age, and therefore the accessibility of the performance), persons with neglected personal hygiene , persons violating the standards of decent social behavior or causing public outrage, persons suffering from serious contagious diseases that threaten the health of other customers and Cinema City staff, or persons who are not authorized to enter based on binding legal regulations issued by state authorities.
23. Only Cinema City customers can stay in all Multicinema premises. Otherwise, Cinema City reserves the right to ask these persons to leave its premises. Customers are understood to mean anyone who has a valid ticket for the upcoming performance on the current day and time, or who has purchased any product from the Cinema City bar and stays in the premises for the purpose of consuming it. Customers are prohibited from entering areas reserved exclusively for Cinema City employees.
24. Customers are entitled to use the escape exits only in case of evacuating the Multicinema.
25. For safety and capacity reasons, it is forbidden to enter cinemas with oversized luggage, including shopping bags, baby carriages or scooters.
26. The customer is obliged to pay attention to his stored personal belongings; Cinema City does not take responsibility for it and does not provide a service for storing personal belongings of customers. The customer is obliged to store personal belongings or oversized luggage (including strollers, scooters) in designated places, namely in the locker rooms or storage room of the shopping center. Cinema City does not have storage space for these purposes and customers are not obliged to store their personal belongings or oversized luggage.
27. Cinema City is not responsible for damage to the customer's health or for items brought by the customer into the Multicinema premises, unless the damage is directly caused by Cinema City. If a customer or a child accompanied by him causes damage as a result of non-compliance with the Internal Rules, he is responsible for it himself, or to other customers, or to a third party.
28. In the premises of Multicinema, it is forbidden to ride on roller skates, move in shoes with wheels, on skateboards, scooters and other similar means, and to enter these premises with them.
29. For safety reasons, it is forbidden to bring glass bottles and glasses into the movie theaters, as well as any weapons (including imitations) or other objects that could cause harm to the health of customers or Cinema City staff. In the case of reasonable suspicion of non-compliance with this prohibition, the customer is obliged to undergo a physical check by security service employees.
30. It is forbidden to use mobile phones, cameras, video cameras and other electronic devices that enable recording of the performance in cinema halls. In case of detection of unauthorized recording, members of the police force will be called. Without the permission of Cinema City, it is strictly forbidden to take pictures and record the Multicinema premises. Customers are obliged to turn off the ringer on their mobile phones in cinema halls, taking into account the undisturbed viewing experience of other customers.
31. It is forbidden to bring animals into all areas of the Multicinema. The ban does not apply to guide, assistance and signal dogs with special training accompanying ZTP license holders.
32. Cinema City is entitled to interrupt or cancel the performance in the event that the customer refuses to obey the call of a Cinema City employee to leave the cinema hall in case of his behavior in violation of the internal rules. Such a customer is fully responsible for damage caused to Cinema City and other customers of the performance.
33. The customer is obliged to respect the warnings and instructions addressed to the customer by Cinema City staff.
34. In case of any complaints, comments and suggestions, the customer can contact the manager of Multicinema. Any suggestions, complaints and complaints can also be sent via e-mail to the address [email protected] and cancellations and complaints of e-tickets to the address [email protected].
Special notice:
All films shown in Multicinema, including the soundtrack, are protected by copyright. Without the consent of the copyright owner, any recording may be subject to civil or criminal prosecution.
If you notice any suspicious behavior in Cinema City cinemas, please notify Cinema City staff immediately.
Cinema City reserves the right to change these Internal Regulations at any time. The change is effective upon publication of the new version of the Internal Rules.
These Internal Regulations become valid and effective on the date of their publication, which occurred on 10/24/2022.
Article 1
General Provisions
- Before purchasing the Ticket/E-Ticket for the Projection in a 4DX screening room, the Customer is obligated, inter alia, to familiarize himself/herself with 4DX Effects.
- Effects during the Projection are sudden and rather strong. If you, as the Customer, have the slightest doubts whether you are going to enjoy the Projection, then you should not attend it. The Multiplex’s staff will gladly provide all Customers with details of 4DX Effects, so they can responsibly consider potential risks.
- If you or the minors accompanied by you have any medical problems, consult your physician before visiting a Projection and follow their recommendations. Furthermore please observe all health-related bans and recommendations stated below in these 4DX Visitors’ Rules.
- Some Customers may suffer from nausea, headache, musculoskeletal pains, problems caused by jets of air or other minor health complications and, in extraordinary cases, epilepsy symptoms during or after the Projection.
- The Customers accompanying the minors are fully responsible for compliance with the 4DX Visitors’ Rules by minors. These are obligated to inform the minors in a timely and suitable manner about all important rules of the visit of the Projection and adequately supervise them during the Projection.
- The Customer shall be held fully liable for the damage caused by him/her, respectively caused by the minors accompanied by him/her, to himself/herself, other Customers or Cinema City due to failure to observe the 4DX Visitors’ Rules.
Article 2
Instructions for the Actual Projection
- The Customers are obligated, during the Projection, to stay fully focused on the Projection at all times and to be ready for unexpected 4DX Effects.
- The seats of the 4DX system will move or vibrate. The Customers are obligated to sit upright and keep your feet on the footrest.
- The Customers are obligated to make sure their things will not fall, spill out, leak out, blow away or stain. Scarves, hats, caps or other light things blown away may directly interfere with the Projection and its special effects. Cinema City shall bear no liability for the loss of Customer´s brought items.
- Due to security reasons it is not allowed to lift up items fallen or blown away as well as spilt food or beverages during the Projection; the Customer is obligated always wait until the end of the Projection.
- You may be hit by (clean) water or bubbles from treated water that may stain cloth, especially silk, during the Projection. For this reason we do not recommend the Customers to wear/bringing along any clothes and accessories made of delicate materials. Cinema City is not being responsible for any possible damage to the clothes or accessories caused as a result of non-compliance with this recommendation.
- It is not allowed to get up and leave during the Projection unless absolutely necessary. The Customer is obligated to remain extremely careful during any movement; the seats may move unexpectedly at any time or other 4DX Effects may start. In case you suspect that there is a technical trouble with your seat, contact the staff of the Multiplex; in no case try to fix the trouble by yourself.
- The Customer is obligated to make sure that parts of his/her body or clothing do not get between the moving seats or between the seats and walls or stairs during the Projection as injury may occur or the clothes may be damaged.
- The Customer is not allowed to get close (especially, but not exclusively, with head/eyes) to the 4DX Effects units, especially to the blowers and jets, to touch them and is obligated to avoid the contact of own things with these units otherwise injury may occur or the items may be damaged.
- The Customer shall be prepared that the Projection may be disturbed due to failure to observe the rules by other Customers (especially flying items).
- Cinema City shall bear no liability for injuries or other medical problems arising from failure to observe the 4DX Visitors’ Rules or damage or loss of your items brought into the screening room that were not sufficiently secured or protected.
- The Projection is not suitable for children under 4 years of age. Minors between four and 12 years of age may attend the Projection only when accompanied by the legal guardian or other accompanying adult. The legal guardian or other accompanying adult is being responsible for the compliance of the minors with this 4DX Visitors’ Rules. In case of interference with the flow of screening and disturbance of other Customers in the Multiplex, the legal guardian or accompanying adult, together with the minor, will be requested to leave the screening room. In such case, the Customer is not entitled to Compensation. Neither Cinema City, nor any personnel of Cinema City assumes the responsibility for the minors attending the screening without the supervision of the legal guardian or other accompanying adult.
- With regard to the maximum load capacity of the seats of 4DX system, persons over 120 kg are not allowed to enter.
Article 3
Health-Related Bans and Recommendations
- For the sake of the safety of the Customers and in order to prevent undesired consequences and inconveniences, it is not allowed to attend the Projection for the Customers suffering from:
- Epilepsy
- High blood pressure
- Cardiovascular problems
- Musculoskeletal system problems, especially spine problems
- Orthopaedic problems
- Other serious medical conditions
- Further it is not recommended to attend the Projection to the following persons:
- Pregnant women
- Persons suffering from breathing problems and allergies
- Persons after operating intervention
- Sensible persons and persons with sensitive sight and hearing
- Persons under the influence of alcohol and drugs
- Children under 4 years of age
- Persons smaller than 100 cm
Article 1
Possibilities of Exercising a Complaint
- The complaint ma by filled by the Customers of Cinema City in a following way, always in accordance with the conditions laid down in the Return Policy:
- Personally at the Responsible employee of the Multiplex,
- Electronically by an e-mail sent to the [email protected] (in case of Tickets),
- Electronically through the Customer support e-commerce (cancellation and returns of E-Tickets) by e-mail sent to info@cinemacity.sk,
- In writing to the address of Cinema City: Cinema City Slovakia s.r.o., cinema in Eurovea shopping centre, Pribinova 8, 811 09, Bratislava.
After filling in the complaint, by using any of the abovementioned way, Cinema City will evaluate the complaint and decide, whether the Customer is entitled to the Compensation pursuant the Return Policy.
Article 2
Returns of Admission
- Customer's obligation to report a mistake in appointed time:
- Customer is obligated to make a complaint immediately after being provided with incorrect fulfillment pursuant the Return Policy.
- Termination of the right for the Compensation:
- Cinema City does not provide Compensations for obstacles caused by the Customer due to his/her fault that led to the non-performance of the screening, or for the impairment of the overall viewing experience of the Customer or obstacles caused by circumstances that Cinema City could not influence.
- The Customer loses the right to further participation at the screening and the complaint to any form of the Compensation in case he/she was requested to leave screening/premises of the Multiplex due to breaching the Operation Rules.
- By using a free (admission free) ticket, the Customer is not entitled to any Compensation from Cinema City in any case. Complaints only apply to the paid Tickets.
- Compensation for the reservation of Tickets:
- All and any reservations are not binding and for this reason no right to any type of Compensation arises from them to the Customers. Reservation is non-binding until the moment of the purchase/payment of the Ticket.
- Cinema City reserves a right to cancel, move or adjust non-binding reservation for operative reasons. In such case the Customer is not obligated to pay for the cancelled, moved or adjusted reservation, however at the same time, the Customer does not have a right to Compensation for cancelling, moving or adjusting the non-binding reservation.
- Cancellation of Tickets (return of admission fee without a given reason):
- Cinema City does not provide Customers with the possibility of returning an already purchased Ticket without a given reason. Tickets purchased at the cash desk of Multiplex can only be returned in cases listed in this Return Policy.
- Cancellation of E-Tickets
- Cancellation of the E-Ticket can be requested by e-mail during weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and during weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (always 3 hours before the beginning of the screening at the latest) or in person in the office of the Multiplex Manager during the opening hours of the Multiplex (15 minutes before the beginning of the Projection at the latest).
- Return of admission with incorrect information:
- Immediately after buying a Ticket, the Customer is obligated to check all the information on the Ticket and make sure that they correspond with order. The Customer has the same obligation when picking up E-Tickets from the cash desk. In case of finding out the incorrect information at the Ticket or E-Ticket picked up at the cash desk, the Customer is authorized to fill in complaint personally at the office of the Multiplex Manager within the 15 minutes after purchasing the Ticket. Complaints made more than 15 minutes after purchasing the Tickets will not be considered, and therefore the right to any Compensation does not arise for the Customer.
- In case of E-Tickets sent to the Customer via an e-mail, the Customer can make potential complaints during weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and during weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (always 3 hours before the beginning of the screening at the latest) or in person in the office of the Multiplex Manage during the opening hours of the Multiplex (15 minutes before the beginning of the screening, the E-Tickets was purchased for, at latest).
- Changes in program:
- Cinema City reserves the right to make operative changes in the program of the Multiplexes to any extent whatsoever without giving a reason and previous notice.
- Customers that did not buy Tickets for the screening that is subject to the program change will not be provided with Compensation.
- Customers that bought Tickets for the screening that is subject to the program change will be primarily offered an exchange of Tickets for an alternative Projection according to the current program. In case the Customer refuses the exchange, he/she is eligible for Compensation of the admission fee in full in exchange for submitting the undamaged and legible Tickets purchased for the particular screening. Without proving eligibility by submitting the undamaged and legible Tickets, the Customer does not have a right to Compensation.
- Customers that purchased the E-Tickets for the screening that is subject to the program change will be provided with the Compensation of admission fee in exchange for submitting the unique numeric code and bar code of the E-Ticket. Without proving eligibility by submitting the unique numeric code and bar code of the E-Ticket, the Customer does not have a right to Compensation. Customer is not entitled to a refund of the non-refundable handling fee associated with the purchase of the E-ticket.
- Cancelled screenings:
- Cinema City reserves the right to cancel any screening before its beginning due to operative reasons. Cinema City will inform its Customers about the cancellation, without undue delay and in appropriate manner, e.g. by releasing an announcement on its website www.cinemacity.sk, or by providing the information directly in the Multiplex at the point of Ticket´s sale.
- The Compensation will not be provided to the Customers that have not bought Tickets for given screening, or alternatively Customers that made the non-binding reservation.
- Customers that purchased the Tickets for the cancelled screening have the right to a refund of the admission fee in full, in exchange for submitting the undamaged and legible Tickets purchased for the respective screening. Without proving eligibility by submitting the undamaged and legible Tickets, the Customer does not have a right to Compensation.
- Customers that purchased the E-Tickets for the cancelled screening will be provided with the Compensation of admission fee in exchange for submitting the unique numeric code and bar code of the E-Ticket. Without proving eligibility by submitting the unique numeric code and bar code of the E-Ticket, the Customer does not have a right to Compensation. Customer is not entitled to a refund of the non-refundable handling fee associated with the purchase of the e-ticket.
- In case of cancellation of the screening, the Customers are entitled to submit their complaint in a way pursuant the Article 1 of the Return Policy, and this within the period of 30 days from the date of the cancelled screening.
- Screening cancelled as a result of vis major:
- Customers that bought Tickets for the screening that was cancelled or interrupted before its beginning or during the screening itself, as a result of vis major that Cinema City was unable to influence (e.g. declaration of evacuation as a result of fire alarm or terrorist threat, evacuation declared by the authorities, radiation alarm, natural disasters etc.), do not have a right to Compensation.
- Defect making further Projection impossible:
- In the event of Projection being disrupted due to a technical defect or operation circumstances, and this defect makes further Projection of adequate quality impossible, the Customer has a right to Compensation in the form of free Tickets to a screening of their own choice, valid for three months, in adequate amount and type of purchased Tickets bought. In case the Customer does not accept this Compensation, he/she has a right to a return of the admission fee in full amount.
- Compensation will be provided to the Customer immediately or within a period of 30 days from the date when the defect occurred, directly in the Multiplex where the defect occurred. Compensation will be provided by the Responsible employee of the Multiplex, in exchange for producing undamaged and legible Tickets or for producing the unique numeric and bar code of the E-Ticket.
- Defects limiting the quality of Projection or the viewing experience:
- If the Customer discovers defects of any kind that significantly limit or will limit his/her viewing experience, it is necessary to immediately make a complaint to the Responsible employee of the Multiplex, who will ensure their immediate reviewing. In case of complaint, the following applies:

- If complaints for these defects were made before the start of the screening, or within 30 minutes from the start of the screening, the Customer has a right for a repayment of admission fee in full. Compensation will be provided by the Responsible employee of the Multiplex in exchange for undamaged and legible Tickets, or upon submitting the unique numeric and bar code of the E-Ticket.
- If complaint for the defect is made during the Projection, at least 30 minutes after the beginning of the screening, and it is possible for the Responsible employee of the Multiplex to evaluate it, the Customer has a right (in case of approval of the complaint) for the Compensation in the form of free Tickets to a screening of own choice, valid for three months, in adequate amount and type with regards to the Tickets already purchased. Compensation will be provided by the Responsible employee of Multiplex in exchange for undamaged and legible Tickets or upon submitting the unique numeric code and bar code of the E-Ticket.
- If complaint for the defect is made after the end of the screening, Cinema City reserves the right to investigate the complaint within the period of 30 days. The Customer will be notified about the results in writing or in a different way laid down in the complaint protocol. In case of approval of the complaint, Compensation will be provided in the form of free Tickets to a screening of own choice, valid for three months, in adequate amount and type with regards to the Tickets already purchased. The Compensation will be provided by the Responsible employee of the Multiplex in exchange for undamaged and legible Tickets or upon submitting the unique numeric code and bar code of the E-Ticket.

Article 3
Complaints Regarding Goods Purchased at the Concession Stands in Multiplexes
- Process of handling of complaints:
- Complaints are always made to a Responsible employee of the Multiplex.
- The Customer is obligated to fill in complaint regarding the goods purchased at the concession stands in the Multiplexes immediately after finding out the faults of the goods, however at the latest until the lapse of the complaint period. The complaints regarding non-food goods may be filed in within the period of two years from the purchase. Packaged food goods shall retain its quality and health standards until the expiry date marked at the package. In case of goods that spoils quickly or that are designated for the direct consumption (e.g. popcorn, nachos, and drinks from soda fountain machines) the complaint shall be filled in at least on the day following the day of purchase, otherwise the rights to complaint expires.
- If the complaint is accepted by the Responsible employee of the Multiplex, the Customer has the right to an exchange of faulty goods. Unless it is possible to exchange the faulty goods, the Customer is provided with Compensation in the form of return of the amount charged. In case the complaint cannot be reviewed on site, Cinema City reserves the right to investigate the complaint and inform the Customer in written form or in a different way laid down in the complaint protocol within the period of 30 days from the date of the complaint submission.
- Return of goods without a given reason:
- Cinema City does not provide Customers with the possibility of returning already purchased goods without a given reason. Goods can only be returned in cases listed in this Return Policy.
- Return of goods provided for free:
- Cinema City does not provide Customers with the possibility of returning goods that were acquired for free. Complaint can be only filled in with regards to the purchased goods.
- Complaints regarding quality of goods:
- In case the Customer is not satisfied with the quality of the goods, it is possible to make complaints about the inadequacies to a Responsible employee of the Multiplex. Complaints are not accepted if the Customer does not report the inadequacies without undue delay right after he/she had the chance to examine the goods after the purchase. Subjective feelings like taste or aromatic characteristics of the goods are not considered as inadequacies.
- Complaints regarding quantity of goods:
- In case the Customer is not satisfied with the amount of goods received, it is possible to make a complaint to a Responsible employee of the Multiplex. Complaints are not accepted if the Customer does not report the inadequacies without undue delay after he/she had the chance to examine the goods after the purchase.
- Latent defects:
- Latent defects that cannot be found by regular examination of the goods will be taken into consideration during the complaint process.
- Return of goods resulting from a cancelled screening:
- Customer has a right to return the goods in case the screening for which he/she purchased Tickets was cancelled before the beginning of the screening or within 30 minutes after the start of screening for whatever reason. After this time it is not possible to return the goods. The condition for making a complaint is that the goods were not consumed and the packaging was not damaged. In case of doubts, the weight and volume of goods are taken into consideration; these cannot be lower than the weight and volume indicated when selling.
Article 4
Complaints Regarding the Glasses
- Process of handling of complaints:
- The complaint regarding the Glasses may be filled in only in cases and within the periods laid down in this Return Policy.
- Complaints are always made to a Responsible employee of the Multiplex.
- The Customer is obligated to fill in the complaint immediately after finding out the faults of the Glasses, however within the lapse of the return period at the latest, i.e. within two years from the day of purchase of Glasses.
- If the complaint is approved by the Responsible employee of the Multiplex, the Customer has the right for an exchange of faulty Glasses. Unless it is possible to exchange the faulty Glasses, the Customer is provided with Compensation in the form of repayment of its purchased price and in case the Customer couldn’t properly watch the screening for a period longer than 30 minutes, due to the faulty Glasses, also in the form of free Ticket for screening in Cinema City. In case the complaint cannot be reviewed on site, Cinema City reserves the right to investigate the complaint and inform the Customer in written form or in a different way that is laid down in the complaint protocol.
- Return of Glasses without a given reason:
- Customer can return undamaged and unused Glasses within 14 days after the day of purchase without giving a reason. Unused Glasses are understood as Glasses packed in original undamaged packaging.
- Return of Glasses for failure to comply with the operation rules of Cinema City by the Customer:
- In case of Customer´s failure to comply with the operation rules of Cinema City and his/her subsequent expelling from the premises of Multiplex, the Customer is not entitled to return the Glasses.
- Return of Glasses provided for free:
- Cinema City does not provide Customers with the possibility of returning the Glasses that were acquired for free. Complaints only apply to Glasses purchased. In case the faulty Glasses were provided for free to the purchased Ticket or E-Ticket, the Customer is immediately after realizing the faults obligated to purchase the Glasses. In case the Customer cannot purchase the new Glasses for reasons on Cinema City´s side, the Customer is entitled to a free Ticket to Cinema City´s screening.
- Complaints regarding the quality of the Glasses:
- In case the Customer is not satisfied with the quality of the Glasses, it is possible to make complaints about the faults to a Responsible employee of the Multiplex who will evaluate the faults. If the fault arose as a result of breaching the user manual, due to careless treatment or as a result or ordinary wear and tear, the complaint will not be approved.
- In case of approval of a complaint the Customer has a right to have the faulty Glasses exchanged for new.
- Return of goods due to cancelled screening with the 3D projection
- If the screening with the 3D projection was disrupted due to a technical defect or operation circumstances and this defect makes further 3D projection of adequate quality impossible, the Customer has the right to return the Glasses.
Article 5
Alternative Dispute Resolution
- In case the Customer is not satisfied with the way, by which Cinema City handled its complaint or believes, that Cinema City breached his/her rights, he/she is entitled to ask Cinema City for the remedy. If Cinema City decline the request for the remedy or fails to provide the answer within 30 days from its posting, the Customer is entitled to initiate the alternative dispute settlement of his/her dispute pursuant the provision § 11 et seq. of the Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on the alternative settlement of consumers´ disputes and on amending and repealing some acts as amended.
- The competent authority for the alternative settlement of consumers´ disputes with Cinema City is the Supervisory authority or other competent legal person listed within the list of entities of alternative dispute resolution held by the Ministry of Economy of Slovak Republic (the list is available at the website http://www.economy.gov.sk); the Customer is entitled to choose which abovementioned entity of alternative dispute settlement he/she wishes to contact.
- The Customer may use the platform for the online dispute settlement available at the website http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/ for the submission of the alternative dispute settlement request.
Terms of trade for purchase of e-gift vouchers
These General Terms of Trade will apply to purchase of gift vouchers issued by the business company Cinema City Slovakia s.r.o., company identification number: 44 066 490, with its registered office at Einsteinova 20, Bratislava 851 01, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the District Court Bratislava I, Insert: 51391/B (hereinafter called "Cinema City" or "Operator"), intended for their subsequent exchange for tickets entitling to visit one of the multiplexes of the Operator in the territory of the Slovak Republic or to buy refreshment therein.
1. Introductory Provisions and Definition of Terms
1.1. These Terms of Trade (hereinafter called "TT") define in more detail the rights and obligations of the Operator and the customer who will buy an electronic gift voucher from the Operator for its exchange for a ticket entitling to visit one of the multiplexes of the Operator in the territory of the Slovak Republic or to buy refreshment in their bars, as contracting parties from the so-called innominate contract concluded under Section 1746(2), or purchase contract concluded under Section 2079 et seq. of the Act No. 89/2012 Coll., Civil Code, or any other contractual relationship.
1.2. "Gift Voucher" or “Voucher” shall mean a gift voucher provided with a unique numerical and bar code and printed out by the customer, or a gift voucher in the JPG format provided with a unique numerical and bar code presented by the customer through a mobile electronic device (especially mobile telephone, tablet, etc.) and that was bought on-line on the website www.cinemacity.sk. Each Gift Voucher contains a unique bar code.
1.3. "Customer" shall mean a buyer of Electronic Gift Voucher.
1.4. "Ticket" shall mean a ticket received by the Customer after payment for chosen film or other similar performance (defined by date, time and cinema auditorium) in the Cinema City multiplex ticket office.
1.5. "Website" shall mean the website www.cinemacity.sk.
1.6. "Handling Charge" shall mean the charge of 0,70 EUR for use of the on-line purchase of the Ticket for a visit of any multiplex operated by us, i.e. of a Ticket entitling its holder to visit any Cinema City multiplex of his/her choice through the e-shop operated by us. It is not a fee for payment by a credit card. The fee is charged in case where the Customer buys the Voucher through the Website. All Electronic Gift Vouchers bought on-line after 1/12/2020 include already this charge, so it need not be paid separately upon their use.
1.7. By purchase and use of the Electronic Gift Voucher the Customer confirms that he/she has read these Terms of Trade and agrees to their contents.
1.8. "General Terms of Trade" shall mean the terms and conditions for purchase of goods and services of Cinema City published on the Website.
1.9. "Multiplexes" are all multiplexes operated under the brand Cinema City in the territory of the Slovak Republic.
2. Purchase of a Gift Voucher
2.1. The Electronic Gift Voucher may be bought on-line through the Website and paid by the PayPal and PayU systems. PayPal supports payments made by the PayPal account. PayU supports quick bank transfers and payments by credit cards.
2.2. The Electronic Gift Voucher is bought after entering of the required and true data necessary for the transaction and after approval of the General Terms of Trade, including these ones, and approval of personal data processing. The Electronic Gift Voucher will be sent to the e-mail specified by the Customer immediately after completion of the transaction.
2.3. Cinema City reserves the right to sell also other kinds of Gift Vouchers. The terms and conditions of these Gift Vouchers are determined individually for every individual case of sale of Gift Vouchers.
3. Use of Gift Vouchers
3.1. The Gift Voucher shall be exchanged for the Ticket either in the ticket office of the given Multiplex or through the Website before commencement of screening of the film performance. All Gift Vouchers bought after 1/12/2020 contain already the handling charge. If, for any reason, the Gift Voucher does not contain this charge, the Customer shall pay it upon on-line use of the Gift Voucher.
3.2. Upon exchange of the Gift Voucher for a Ticket, the Customer is not entitled to ask for returning or exchange of the ticket.
3.3. Gift Vouchers may also be exchanged for refreshment in the Multiplex bar if they are designated for this purpose by the Operator. The use of this Gift Voucher for bar products is only possible directly in the Cinema City Multiplex bars.
3.4. The basis for use of the Gift Voucher is a unique numeric code. The Customer is obliged to protect the code against damage or misuse by third parties (for example by publishing its photographs). In case that the code on the Voucher is not valid or has demonstrably been already used before (such fact will be saved in the Operator's system), the Gift Voucher will not be accepted. In such case, the Customer will have no right to any compensation or replacement from the Operator.
3.5. The ownership of the Gift Voucher entitles the Customer to buy Tickets for a performance in the Multiplex chosen by the Customer according to the current and valid programme. The Gift Voucher cannot be used by its exchange for a Ticket for some selected special events and screenings organized by Cinema City (always get information in the ticket office of the respective Multiplex or on the website). The Gift Voucher cannot be exchanged for a Ticket for the performance, where the capacity of the hall of the Multiplex has already been exhausted.
3.6. The Gift Voucher can be used for a film performance held on the last day of validity of the respective Electronic Gift Voucher at the latest.

If the order has not been completed, the Provider is not obliged to conclude the contract.
4. Possibility of Use of a Gift Voucher Beyond Its Specification
4.1. The Customer may apply the Gift Voucher with a possibility to be used in all Multiplexes in the territory of the whole Slovak Republic in any possible Cinema City Multiplex without the necessity of a balance payment. The Gift Voucher may not be exchanged for another Voucher. The value of the Gift Voucher may not be reimbursed in cash or resold subsequently.
4.2. Gift Vouchers which may be used for 2D performances only may not be used for 3D performances and for performances in 4DX and Superscreen. If you wish to use such Gift Vouchers for purchase of a Ticket in other performance format (3D, 4DX, Superscreen), you will have to pay the difference between the prices on-line or in the Multiplex ticket office. In case of use of the Electronic Gift Voucher for a cheaper format, the price difference will not be refunded or kept under the unique code, and such difference will expire.
5. Selected Specifications of the Gift Voucher
5.1. Gift Vouchers for 3D performances contain also 2x 3D glasses.
5.2. Gift Vouchers cannot be re-charged repeatedly. In case of loss of the Gift Voucher, no duplicate Voucher may be issued.
5.3. If the Customer will not use glasses in case of the Gift Voucher containing glasses, the glasses will remain recorded in the Gift Voucher for the future and may be used for the next visit of the Multiplex, until expiry of the Gift Voucher.
5.4. Gift Vouchers containing possibility to use 2 Tickets need not be used for one performance.
5.5. If you will use the Gift Voucher in the ticket office of a Multiplex, you cannot demand repayment of the handling charge. The handling charge will be deducted from the Gift Voucher together with the Ticket for which the Gift Voucher will be used (upon use in the Multiplex ticket office as well as on-line).
6. Price List and Possibility of Use of the Gift Voucher
6.1. The current price list of individual Gift Vouchers is given on the website www.cinemacity.sk and is also available in ticket offices of the Cinema City Multiplexes.
6.2. Tickets and products for which Gift Vouchers may be used are written on the Voucher as well as in the confirming e-mail to the Customer.
6.3. Gift Vouchers may not be used for special events and performances (for example Ladies Night, film marathons, special VIP events, etc.). This information is always given in the rules of the given event.
6.4. Gift Vouchers cannot be combined with other discounts and special events of Cinema City. An exception may be given in the rules of the given event.
6.5. The owner of the Gift Voucher may transfer his/her Gift Voucher to a third party free of charge. With transfer of such Gift Voucher, these Terms of Trade shall apply to this third party. With transfer of the Gift Voucher to a third party, its original Owner undertakes to inform this person about the rules of use of Gift Vouchers.
6.6. The owner of the Gift Voucher is not entitled to resell the Gift Voucher (alienate for consideration) without previous written approval of Cinema City.
7. Refusal of Use of a Gift Voucher by the Provider
7.1. The Provider may refuse the use of the Gift Voucher for the following reasons:
• the Gift Voucher was presented after its expiry;
• the Gift Voucher has already been used before;
• the Gift Voucher was invalidated for the reason of withdrawal from the Contract;
• the use of the Gift Voucher would be contrary to valid legal regulations;
• the Gift Voucher was devaluated so that it is impossible to verify its authenticity, validity or to read its electronic data.
8. Exchange of a Gift Voucher
8.1. With the exception of the procedure under Art. 9.1. of these TT all bought Gift Vouchers may not be returned or exchanged for cash or any other consideration and no duplicates thereof may be issued.
8.2. In case of a complaint as to functioning of the Electronic Gift Voucher, the receipt confirming its purchase shall be presented. In case of the Electronic Gift Voucher, such document will be an e-mail confirming purchase of the Gift Voucher.
9. Withdrawal from the Contract and Damages
9.1. The Customer having bought an Electronic Gift Voucher has the right to withdraw from the contract on its purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. This right expires after 14 days from the date written in the e-mail. If the Customer of an Electronic Gift Voucher intends to withdraw from the contract, he/she must do so in writing by e-mail to the address [email protected] or by post to the address Einsteinova 20, Bratislava 851 01. The amount will be repaid in the same payment method as the original payment within 14 days after the date on which the company Cinema City received the notice on withdrawal from the contract. The withdrawal from the contract is not possible in case that the Gift Voucher has already been exchanged for a Ticket.
9.2. Cinema City is not liable for loss, destruction or theft of the Gift Voucher. If the Gift Voucher will be lost, no duplicate will be issued.
10. Validity of the Gift Voucher
10.1. The Gift Voucher is valid for 6 months from the date of its purchase. The details for Gift Voucher purchased during the cinema closure can be found here.
10.2. The validity of the Gift Voucher cannot be prolonged.
11. The current programme is available at www.cinemacity.sk.
- In order to enter a cinema auditorium, it is necessary to present a valid ticket to the cinema staff for a specific film screening, to a given auditorium beforehand. Ticket entitles only to enter the screening in the designated auditorium, on a given day and at a given time. You should keep your ticket until you leave the cinema.
- A VIP Light ticket entitles you to enter the VIP zone 15 minutes before the start of the screening.
- Viewers are required to enter the cinema auditorium at the latest 30 min after the start of the screening for which the ticket was purchased. After this time, the cinema reserves the right to require the viewers to leave the VIP zone.
- Staying in another VIP room or arbitrarily changing the projection room during the film screening is not allowed.
- Viewers with a VIP Light ticket are entitled to use the bar menu of the VIP zone (nachos, popcorn, hot and cold drinks) and to watch the screening in the VIP room.
- Guests may enjoy unlimited access to the bar menu for the duration of the film screening. Take-out service is not permitted.
- The cinema staff reserves the right to refuse entry to the VIP room to persons who are drunk or under the visible influence of drugs or psychotropic agents without reimbursement of the ticket price or to ask such persons to leave the cinema.
- Please do not disturb the reception of the screening by other Viewers, in particular through the use of mobile phones, loud conversations, expressive expression of emotions connected with the reception of the projection or any other behavior that may interfere with the comfortable reception of the film by other Viewers.
- We reserve the right to remove from the premises persons who grossly violate these Rules and the order or safety rules applicable in our cinema, and in particular who interfere with the use of our premises by other Viewers.
- The following activities are strictly prohibited in the VIP Zone:
- Smoking and using electronic cigarettes,
- bringing in food and beverages purchased outside the snack bars owned by Cinema City;
- bringing alcohol purchased outside the snack bars owned by Cinema City and drinking it in the auditoriums,
- bringing to the cinema auditorium food products served in glass or ceramic packaging,
- bringing in pets
- violent, provocative or otherwise dangerous behaviours for other Customers;
- Please report any comments to the cinema staff, also with regard to incorrect sound or image quality of the film displayed during the projection or immediately after its completion. We would like to inform you that failure to comply with this obligation may result in the impossibility of confirming the legitimacy of the submitted reservations, and thus the acceptance of your complaint.
- The ticket can be returned no later than 3 hours before the beginning of the show, upon presentation of the receipt, proof of purchase or the ticket printout. If the ticket is purchased at a box office, the full amount is refunded.
- Account Users shall be able to return all tickets bought electronically in a single transaction by submitting a return instruction via the Website or the Application after logging in to the Account no later than 3 hours before the start of the screening. The service fee of 0.70 EUR, added to the price of the ticket purchased electronically, shall not be refunded. Refunds shall be made in accordance with the rules set out in the T&C of online purchases of tickets.
- VIP seats may not work properly with a weight of less than 20 kg.
- All films displayed in VIP halls are subject to a separate pricing policy in accordance with the price list available at ticket offices and on the website cinema-city.sk. We kindly inform you that there are no discounts for affiliate programs for movies displayed in the VIP halls.
- These VIP zone regulations constitute a complement to the Cinema Regulations. In matters not covered by the provisions of the VIP zone Regulations, the provisions of the Cinema Regulations apply.
